News Reporter Wanted for Temporary Position

NT is Sweden's oldest daily newspaper, founded in 1758. Today, we are a digitally focused editorial team that has undergone significant development in recent years – especially in digital publishing and social media – and that journey continues. Our ambition is to be the leading news provider and an independent, relevant societal actor in Norrköping, Söderköping, Finspång, and Valdemarsvik. We scrutinize those in power, highlight societal issues, and guide readers in their daily lives.

Norrköpings Tidningar is now looking for a news reporter for a longer temporary position from January to August 2026.

About the Role

As a news reporter at NT, you will work broadly with local news journalism in Norrköping and surrounding areas. You will be present where it happens – at accidents, crimes, decisions, and societal changes – and help our readers understand their city.

Both experienced and younger reporters work at the editorial office. You will develop alongside engaged colleagues and have the opportunity to sharpen your pace, digital packaging, visual storytelling, and investigative journalism.

Our digital development continues, and you will be part of that journey.

Your Responsibilities

• Writing news articles, interviews, and reports.
• Monitoring and reporting in news situations.
• Working with live reporting, photography, and video material.
• Packaging content for the website and social media.
• Contributing your own ideas and independent news work.

We are looking for someone with a strong commitment and interest in local journalism and who is passionate about both major news stories and the narratives of the people behind them. You are curious, flexible, can immerse yourself in new issues, and actively work to ensure your publications capture readers' interest.

We are looking for someone who can take responsibility in the news flow and contribute directly to the daily work, but who also wants to develop as a journalist.

We Believe You:

• Have a journalism degree or equivalent experience.
• Have worked at a news editorial office or in a similar environment.
• Are curious, self-driven, and comfortable with fast-paced publishing.
• Are stylistically secure and can easily build trust.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with irregular working hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working at a news desk.
• Experience or interest in crime journalism.
• Familiarity with live journalism and digital storytelling on social media.

The position includes work in the mornings, evenings, and weekends.

A driving license is required as driving is part of the job.
